SHOP UPDATES // BT PLUSH PILLOWS

I have 6 of these guys up in my Etsy shop. That's all I will have for awhile. I have one more pink floral one on the way but after that I will be working on some other things for a bit. They are all different with different fabrics on the reverse and matching buttons on front. If you are interested in a custom made one just send me an email either through Etsy or the email in on here in my contact info.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

WHAT I WORE // PUG BAG

I haven't actually put real clothes on all week. Haven't been feeling so great but I just got this bag today and needed to share. I'm really missing my boyfriend who lives across the US from me and currently is in Germany being awesome as usual filming stuff. He has a pug, Coco, who looks just like this bag so I kind of needed the bag in my life to be here when they can't :)

PHOTOS WITH FURRY CREATURES

2

In reality when I try to take photos of ANYTHING, about 90% of them end up with an animal messing up a shot...or maybe making it better. All day long they ignore me but as soon as I try to take photos, I'm not paying them enough attention and they need to see what's so important, ha. I love those little fur balls, even if they are horrible helpers.

All of that just for this. Lol.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I have yet to leave my house because it's a super humid 100 degrees out today! Woo hoo!

WHAT I WORE // FLORAL & STRIPES

I'm not really sure what happened but up until this year I never really owned or wore anything with flowers on it. I love floral patterns, I just used them as a designer all day when I created greeting cards and never looked at them quite the same. Florals are always a trend in products and fashion it's just the styles and colors that change. I've collected research of floral products for years and I guess just recently I started gravitating towards certain looks and begun adding flowers into my closet. I've been trying to style them so they are still "me" and I'm really having fun combining different colors and patterns with the flowers. This skirt has lovely colorful birds integrated in which is what made me love it more. The part I love the most though, it has POCKETS! Dresses and skirts with pockets are always a plus.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stoping by I really appreciate it! I'll have more posts coming that are not outfit post because who wants to see this ghost all the time, ha! Lot of toys and artists on the way!

All the love,
-Sara

TOY A DAY // ACCIDENTAL MISHAP BY TRAVIS LAMPE

I've posted toy a day photos of my collection for years now and still want to continue it but will be now adding more shots of the toy so you can see different side, accessories, etc. A signal photo post will also still be added to my toy blog and Instagram feed. This wont happen everyday but I'll try to make up for it with more photos.

Be sure to check out more of Travis's work if you're not familiar with it.

Have a great day everyone!

ARTIST // JAMES JEAN

I want to start sharing artist that inspire me on a regular basis. I am very passionate about all kinds of art and love to share artist I grew up with and new people I find. I've been lucky enough to become friends with a lot of these talented people through collecting their art and toys. The world is a crazy wonderful place.

(Fables Covers by James Jean)

James Jean has been a long time favorite artist. I discovered his work in college around 2001 from the Fables comic book series that he did covers for. Comics and graphic novels were one of the ways I had discovered a lot of my favorite artists before the internet was more easily accessible. I also purchased every art magazines and art book I could get my hands on.

As someone who has probably an unhealthy love affair with color, Jean's use of color, subject matter, line work, composition, always amazes me and is a huge source of inspiration. I've loved watching his styles change and grow and seeing his work transformed into other forms like jewelry and clothing. I get really excited when my love of fashion and art come together with my favorite artist.

Someday I would like to own an original of his work but until that's a possibility, prints will always be my best friend. I have a few in my house which came from a book of prints that came out awhile ago. I wanted to share some of those and where they are in my home. I also pulled a few of my favorite pieces with links to see more of his work.

(Kindling by James Jean)

I just discovered, thanks to the boyfriend, that James has a print for sale today only. After 24 hours it will come down and not be re printed.

I hope everyone has a great rest of your Monday!

WHAT I WORE // STRIPES FOREVER

One of my best friends, Sandi (Creatively Curated) got me out of my house the other day for lunch and I'm glad she did. I work from my home now and I'm pretty far out from most shopping and food areas so I don't leave my home too often. When I walk outside I start squinting and try to hide from the burning rays of sunlight hitting my transparent skin, ha. I'm pretty much a cave dwelling creature even though I love nature and being outdoors.

Sandi wanted to take some outfit photos and I love taking picture and eating lunch with a good friend so I got up, threw on stripes, and headed down to the West Bottoms in Kansas City. Then I kicked her ass for making me put real clothes on that day. Okay, not really. She would totally win in a fight.

WHAT I WORE // HEARTS

I kind of have an obsession with rompers. I have to admit, a pain in the ass when you have to go to the rest room, but I'll sacrifice for cute. I've had this saved in one of my Pinterest boards forever and couldn't find one that wasn't out of stock but...I don't give up and found one at ABADAY. I love it! I wish it came in different colors.

SLINKY SUIT

I saw one of these videos of the Slinky Suit from a friends facebook feed, for the first time today even though they are older. I read some comments (which I try not to do but got sucked in) of people thinking it's creepy but I'm mesmerized watching it. I can't stop. I couldn't help but think of the dancing slinky Muppets!

These totally made my day today. Hope you find some enjoyment from them as well!

Have a great day!

MODCLOTH BLOG

When I buy clothing I never have just one place I shop but if I had to pick where I shop the most it would ModCloth. I've been an avid ModCloth shopper since the beginning.

I never thought I would do fashion, what I wore, photos but I've always had compliments on my clothing and wanted to start sharing more. At the start of the year I decided to add my photos I take to the ModCloth style gallery. It's so much fun because each photo also has products you can purchase right now to create the same kind of look. A couple times now they have used one of my photos for a post of their blog and I couldn't be more trilled! What a huge compliment to be recognized by a company I love so much. I was in yesterdays blog post for back to school looks! So exciting!

WHAT I WORE // ALL THE LACE

I can get a bit carried away playing with clothes. I've always loved fashion and for a long time wanted to design clothing. Actually that never went away, I still would love to do that but for now I just play dress up like a 5 year old. These things make me happy and it's a huge source of inspiration. Everyday I can pretend I'm in a fairy tail, video game, movie...I've always wished Halloween was everyday and I see no reason not to pretend that it is :)

There is not much I do that's not based around color. It's just part of me. I match everything and I am always combining colors, objects, and patterns just because it's fun. It was also a huge part of my career in the past because I had to be very accurate at color and printing. And I don't mean to brag but I'm a master at matching exact colors by eye, ha! I'm such a nerd! This matching always happens with my clothes and I just go with it. No reason to fight the crazy.

Have a great day!

BREATHE

Hello, my name is Sara and I'm a workaholic. I guess it's at least good I know this about myself. I have a lot of self imposed projects on my plate along with work and daily life tasks. Figuring out how to keep up with a blog is something I'm learning as the days go by but it can be a frustrating process when you have other responsibilities that need to get done. Working from home is wonderful to me but the work I do never seems like work so I have a hard time doing everything else. I can get so carried away with projects that I eat and sleep at really odd times. Not the best for your health. I purchased this "breathe" sign from Etsy years ago from Oh Dier Living. Its good to remind myself to just breathe.

I hope you had a great weekend!

ETSY SHOP UPDATES // KNITTING GNOME IS BACK

Back in 2007 when I opened my Etsy shop I had an illustration of one of my girls I drew with a gnome. I decided to print him on fabric and make a pillow out him so I had a version I could hold. Later as some time went by my gnome took up knitting. Don't judged, he makes some really awesome scarfs and knitted gnome hats!

It took me a bit but I finally made some more of these little dudes and have 3 knitting gnomes and 2 gnomes without the yarn and knitting needles. All will be available in my ETSY shop.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
